During this meeting, both the Kabylian and the Flemish history together with their actual situations were discussed. The MAK especially emphasized on the massacre of Kabyles by the Algerian state, whose responsibles are still not punished, so far.
The Belgian justice is very innovative in fighting the worldwide crime against humanity. The MAK showed clearly its intention to seek for support from the Belgian justice as well as from the international law court to investigate in this matter and to sue the Algerian authorities.
During the meeting, a report on the Kabylian massacres by the Algerian government has been handed over to the Belgian authorities. A copy of the report is provided to the Algerian authorities as well.
This copy was sent to the Algerian government via its embassy in Brussels. In this report, an official request for the autonomy of Kabylia has been clearly formulated. A copy of this report was likewise sent to other international authorities such as the United Nation, with the hope to make this fact known publicly and to seek a peaceful resolution. At 07:00 p.m., a delegation of about ten Flemish lawyers, partially active in the international court of law, met the MAK representatives. The discussion was about the political situation in Kabylia and the possible juridical steps to undertake in order to make justice for the 128 victims of the "black spring" The discussion lasted ca. 2 hours.
