Anavd, the Provisional Government of Kabylia , presents its most sincere condolences to the family of the victim and bows to the memory of all innocent victims of the Algerian army. Based on an investigation conducted at the crime scene, Anavad rejects the idea of "slippage" or `` blunder’’of the army for several reasons. Ms. Kaci followed a well lit et very busy path frequented by pedestrian. This horror cannot be attributed to nighttime darkness because, not only were the street lights on and in good working condition that night, the demeanor of a kabyle women walking cannot be mistaken, not by a living soul. Moreover, an elite military operating in barracks located in the middle of an urban center cannot confuse the walk of our women with that of a terrorist group. One wonders how to qualify this criminal blunder, when the soldier continued firing at Ouardia and Baya, the other two women who accompanied the deceased Zahia, all the way to the door step of their homes. The impact of the bullets was perceptible from the place where Mrs. Kaci’s blood was shed to the two survivors’ homes. We cannot but demand the departure of all the Algerian security forces from Kabylia where, instead of trying to save Zahia’s life by quickly taking her to a hospital, she was locked up in the barracks until she passed away. And to make this worse, Zahia’s cousin was beaten as he approached the baraks to enquire about her condition. Despite this profound grief and public humiliation inflicted by the army to Freha citizens, instead of reaching out to ease the pain of the family of the deceased woman and that of a town in shock, the Algerian generals have found nothing better than to send out two military helicopters equipped with rockets flying low over angry demonstrators. The other shock was the silence of the Algerian press after the assassination of Mrs. Kaci. Not a word on the real reasons for this crime, and no serious investigation ; nothing. The Algerian press let this assassination and the despicable behavior of the military and political leaders go by as a mere news item. Anavad (Provisional Government of Kabylia) invites international observers to record our allegations. The attempt to submit Kabylia by violence is a crime and a political dead end in which the Algerian regime went astray since 1963. Anavad refuses to leave Mrs. Kaci’s case untold, which the Algerian government hastens to bury. It call upon all Algerians and the entire international community and foreign embassies not to be victims of official propaganda put out by media relays in the orders to ignite Algerian patriotism whenever a moving image comes to us from Palestine or any of the so-called sister countries, while keeping a deafening silence about the circumstances of this unpublished killing. Anavad denounces the hypocrisy and cynicism of the Algerian decision-makers, who , in reality, do not care about the human in the image of "Syrian-brother" regime. All they care about is their hold on power. Anavad alerts the international opinion on the handling of the violence that the Algerian regime is trying to bring in Kabylia at all cost, and recalls that Zahia Kaci is the third Kabyle villager to be assassinated by the Algerian army after Moustapha Dial, a laborer, and Madani Goudjil, a communal guard in a period of 12 weeks. In addition to this sad and macabre situation, there have been suicide attacks in city centers in Boumerdes and Tizi-Ouzou, and forest fires in Bejaia deliberately lit by the military. We know that clan feuds at the top of the Algerian State rage every time important events happen that threaten the balance between the oligarchy members. We also know that the discomfort caused by the Algerian military support to Gaddafi and the hosting of his family in Algeria is only due to countries determined to fight terrorism pointing at North Africa. The Algerian regime is no longer able to defend its hold on power under the pretext of barring green fascism while the regime itself promotes it actively through its schools. The regime is already in a state of confusion, and now that the hoax of Ben Ali, Mubarak, Gaddafi, Assad and others are finally revealed, those in Algiers are trying to cover their tracks. Just like in 1998 and 2001, Kabylia is targeted again by the regime to attempt to repeat its twisted plans there. We call upon the international opinion on the legitimacy of the demand for the autonomy of the Kabyle people faced with a regime that publicly and officially scheduled the eradication of the Berber culture and the imposition of the Arab-Islamic culture as the one foundation of the Algerian nation. Kabyle people are keen to preserve their personality and thousands of years of cultural heritage and remain at the same time deeply committed to universal values and all other cultures.
